Community Support Initiative for Refugees (CoSIR) is a registered nonprofit supporting LGBTQI refugees living in Nairobi. Following UNHCR’s ceasure of financial assistance to LGBTQI refugees in Nairobi in December 2016, CoSIR was founded in April 2017 to provide healthcare, sex education, and economic empowerment to LGBTQI refugees.

House of Guramayle is a collaborative intersectional platform created by exiled Ethiopian activists based around the world. We aim to advocate for the Ethiopian LGBTIQ+ community and create a safe space for them to share their stories and experiences of social, economic, health and political issues.

Kitab Ghar is an entirely free, citizen-funded public library, situated in Karachi and Lahore. We are open seven days a week, from 11 AM to 8 PM. For regular visitors, we offer free Wi-Fi and mineral water. Additionally, we are able to design tailor-made services for our monthly patrons or otherwise one-time users.

Radical Inclusion, Rooted in Love

The Cosmopolitan Affirming Church (CAC) is an inclusive affirming faith community in Kenya that openly welcomes LGBTQIA+ people of faith to explore and experience their faith in an affirming environment. CAC offers a secure and supportive space for weekly worship and fellowship. They draw from Christian and traditional Kenyan religious traditions to promote well-being and spiritual growth.

The Ali Forney Center was founded in 2002 in memory of Ali Forney, a homeless gender-nonconforming youth who was  forced to live on the streets, where they were tragically murdered. Committed to saving the lives of LGBTQ+ and at-risk young people, our mission is to protect them from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to live independently. Ali Forney Center is based in New York City but helps at-risk youth across the entire United States.

The Invisible Lifelines CREATIVE ACTION FUND is a discretionary fund to support our subjects through the arts and community initiatives.
